Rodeo stock, performance horses and other equines travelling to the U.S. need Coggins testing for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) and export documents. Many competitions, sales and events also require a current negative Coggins as the disease is spread through the blood of infected animals by biting insects who then carry the disease from horse to horse.
Highview Animal Clinic offers this testing and the necessary export documentation. We’ll be happy to send the papers in or you can take them for in-person delivery.
For more information or to schedule a testing appointment for your horse, call us at 403-652-1300.
